After the last post I realized that not all of Jeff Higel's fine work had been properly represented.
These are the front split wishbones that Jeff crafted from solid steel, one of the benefits of SCTA
racing, both Bonneville and El Mirage, is that wieght is not nearly as critical as aerodynamic drag.
These wishbones allow the tie rod to be shielded by the stock Deuce front axel by running through the wishbone. These are 55" long and about 55 lbs each. The spring shackle mounts are removable and the windows for the tie rod/steering cross link are biased in cross section to compensate for the perch-pin angle. The old GM (where Jeff practiced back in the day) had some incredible people !
